Good Friday

“Were you there when they crucified my Lord?” The Good Friday liturgy begins with the celebrants prostrate on the floor. In our community this year, only two priests were able to do a full prostration: Fr. Jerome in the foreground and myself in the back. Fr. Raphael managed a genuflection, and the main celebrant, Sam Anthony (in red chasuble) did a half prostration. Notice that the altar is stripped of cloths in remembrance of Jesus being stripped of his clothes at his crucifixion. The clean floor is due to a lot of cleaning prior to our services. Everything was covered with a thick layer of dust from construction which has been ongoing since the last winter storm on the first week of March burst a water pipe and left our basement flooded.
