Mary and the Mystery of CanaA second very important thing about this gospel is that at the wedding feast at Cana, which symbolized the new Kingdom of grace, the Mother of Jesus was there. Mary’s presence at Cana was not just an aside. She was not there by mistake. She was not there by happenstance. Notice, the Mary is spoken of in this gospel passage even before Jesus is mentioned.
