Announcing New Assignments
Greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ!
On behalf of myself and all the friars, I thank you for your prayers during our 2023 Provincial Chapter. We are glad for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we continue the restructuring and discernment process we have undertaken, working to form a strategic plan for the future of our Semi-Province of St. Thérèse.
I am pleased to share with you our new assignments. These decisions will help us strengthen our foundations, renew the vitality of our Carmelite charism, and deepen our vocation and apostolate.
In the Archdiocese of San Antonio, the community at our Little Flower Basilica will soon consist of Fr. Gregory Ross, OCD, as Superior-Pastor and Rector of the Basilica, Fr. John Magdalene Suenram, OCD, Fr. Jerome Earley, OCD, Fr. Luis Belmonte-Luna, OCD, Fr. James Curiel, OCD, Fr. Sam Anthony Morello, OCD, and Br. Vladimir Guadalupe, OCD.
In the Diocese of Dallas our community will soon consist of Fr. Jorge María Cabrera de la Eucaristía, OCD, as Superior-Pastor, Fr. Jenaro de la Cruz, OCD, as Parochial Vicar, Fr. Bonaventure Sauer, OCD, Fr. Stephen Sanchez, OCD, and Fr. Marion Bui, OCD.
In the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, Fr. Jorge María Cabrera de la Eucaristía, OCD, will serve as Superior, and the community of Little Flower Parish will consist of Fr. Ralph Reyes, OCD, as Parish and Community Administrator and Fr. Jesus Sancho, OCD.
In the Diocese of Little Rock, Fr. Jorge María Cabrera de la Eucaristía, OCD, will serve as Superior and Fr. Stephen Sanchez, OCD will serve as Community Administrator of our Marylake Monastery.
Over the coming months, we will continue to announce the results of our discernment. I ask for your continued prayers for all of our friars as we continue planning the future of our semi-province.
May our Lady of Mount Carmel, our mother, protect and intercede for you all.
